Say NO to evil. On Twitter. On other networks.

I just followed folk who follow and I advise you to do the same. Global, alert, happening.

We are finally at the point where what we do will literally spell the difference between life and death for the planet. Make no mistake. There is evil in the world because there is conscious harm being done. Some harm is due to corporate and governmental actions that result in everything from the denial of rights to starvation, sickness and death. There is evil in the world because idolatrous individuals believe that they can resurrect imagined pasts or achieve utopian dreams by acts of terror and murder. There is evil in the world because of susceptibility to the propaganda  of those who dwell on hate, fear and violence. And the time has come to counter it in a new way that is only possible because cyberspace makes it so. Consider the clear call of Triadic Philosophy. The truth will set us free. The truth is that the voices of billions have the power, merely by expressing themselves, to wrest control of history from the bad guys. The only thing that keeps the purveyors of  harm in control is the lassitude of the crowd. Triadic Philosophy invites each person to lay claim to their birthright. The freedom to choose values that create progress. How will we keep the top from getting richer as masses drown in debt? By saying NO to evil. On Twitter. On other networks. In messages. In our face to face lives. We can react to the wages of harm in such numbers and with such force and with such a degree of authenticity, that on a sheer numerical level we can make change resonate. We can move from today's ironical cynicism to a skeptical but positive affirmation of tolerance, helpfulness and democracy. We can move past either-or simplicity, prevalent in the media, to an affirmation that the only way that matters is a way that works.  Why is this a key moment in history? It is the first time that all can be heard. The unique, individual messages of all have a cumulative power to put a stop to the forces that would otherwise kill our planet.

The people’s faith was lost as well - From "The New Tao Te-Ching""

Chapter 17
In oldest times the rulers were unknown.
The next age rulers were were both loved and praised.
The next age they were feared and then despised.
And then the rulers lost faith in the Tao.
Which meant the people’s faith was lost as well.
The earliest appeared irresolute
but reticence concealed great gravity.
Their work achieved complete success
and people said, We’re as we are, ourselves.

Absolute chance is a factor of the universe.- Charles Sanders Peirce

A salient quote from my favorite philosopher.

            201. Let me here say one word about Tychism, or the doctrine that absolute chance is a factor of the universe. There is one class of objectors to it who are so impressed with what they have read in popular books about the triumphs of science that they really imagine that science has proved that the universe is regulated by law down to every detail. Such men are theologians, perhaps, or perhaps they have been brought up in surroundings where everything was so minutely regulated that they have come to believe that every tendency that exists at all in Nature must be carried to its furthest limit. Or, there is I know not what other explanation of their state of mind; but I do know one thing: they cannot be real students of physical science -- they cannot be chemists, for example. They are wrong in their logic. But there is another class of objectors for whom I have more respect. They are shocked at the atheism of Lucretius and his great master. They do not perceive that that which offends them is not the Firstness in the swerving atoms, because they themselves are just as much advocates of Firstness as the ancient Atomists were. But what they cannot accept is the attribution of this firstness to things perfectly dead and material. Now I am quite with them there. I think too that whatever is First is ipso facto sentient. If I make atoms swerve -- as I do -- I make them swerve but very very little, because I conceive they are not absolutely dead. And by that I do not mean exactly that I hold them to be physically such as the materialists hold them to be, only with a small dose of sentiency superadded. For that, I grant, would be feeble enough. But what I mean is, that all that there is, is First, Feelings; Second, Efforts; Third, Habits -- all of which are more familiar to us on their psychical side than on their physical side; and that dead matter would be merely the final result of the complete induration of habit reducing the free play of feeling and the brute irrationality of effort to complete death. Now I would suppose that that result of evolution is not quite complete even in our beakers and crucibles. Thus, when I speak of chance, I only employ a mathematical term to express with accuracy the characteristics of freedom or spontaneity.

If we into our inner being delve - a poem

If we into our inner being delve,
We find a light that feeds our fondest hopes.
We need no alteration of our minds,
No fixed beliefs or creeds are now decreed;
The knowledge we possess is what we find,
When freely we explore reality.

When I say Abba is within us all,
I mean that we can share what is to be.
I mean the basic truth that Moses saw,
Within the flame, the real reality:
"I am what is and what will be always."
In other words, "I am nobody's slave.
And when you claim me, you part from my ways,
And follow priests who add to what I gave.

I did not favor races, peoples, states,
Or promise I would smite all enemies;
How words upon a page create ill fates,
And rob visions of any power to please!

What level of awareness must there be,
To know a portion of what we possess?
To really know our creativity,
Our reason, will, devotion, consciousness?

Our vision changes as our insight grows,
Our lives are focused on the here and now;
What happens after this life no one knows,
But what we do in this one counts and how!

For Abba is our impulse to do good,
To satisfy our needs and those of all;
There is no SuperGod in a bad mood,
Just waiting to see how we slip and fall.

We celebrate what's real, not fantasy;
To function in this world requires care;
Abba is always here to help us see,
And to make choices that are wise and fair.

We do not preach a separable soul,
We do not know our end nor should we try;
Instead, we seek to know this life as whole,
Embracing it completely, live or die.

Is this a shock to so-called modern minds?
Why not perceive what Abba has achieved?
The trail to liberty and suffrage winds,
Where life-affirmers traveled and believed.

Who lives and serves achieves Abba's best will;
Who lives and thinks achieves Abba's fair aim;
Who lives and loves does Abba's cup refill,
And who forgives knows Abba does the same.
Enlightenment is Abba, period,
Not some historic time that is long gone;
Enlightenment is constant, varied, myriad,
Whenever we turn Abba's wave-length on.

There is a humanism that I hate,
The type that says "this teacher is supreme,
You need not think, you need not even wait,
We'll set you straight. All else is a bad dream."

Such is the hold religion still exerts,
Upon some secular savants I know;
They elevate their theories till it hurts
Their adulation is a sorry show.

An open mind is Abba's best defense,
Against idolatries that seek our souls.
Honesty without show or pretense,
Frees us from all idolatrous controls.
We welcome science when it is science,
Along with discourse and philosophy;
Before all truths we stand in apt silence,
Happy to see whatever we can see.

We are the ones who'll be who we will be,
If that is humanism, we say Yes!
Just as Abba is always, so are we,
And never any creeds need we confess.
