Sprawl is based on the flight from the city.

Architects and designers conspired with developers to serve the base motive to stratify and segregate the society.

Occupy should insist on the right of people to have a habitat that includes all we presently zone out.

Correct this noxious flight from justice and common sense.. Create  new car-free cyber-communities, smart, diverse, vibrant. Reverse the nightmare we have been living in since the 1960s.

Correct that. Until suburbs turned into sprawl. We are talking a century-long process.

Accord Reached Settling Lawsuit Over BP Oil Spill - NYTimes.com: "David M. Uhlmann, who headed the Justice Department’s environmental crimes section from 2000 to 2007, said, “The plaintiffs’ steering committee really needs to reach a settlement with BP” because otherwise it could face years of litigation and might obtain less at trial than it could receive in a settlement.

At the same time, said Mr. Uhlmann, now a professor at the University of Michigan law school, said, “BP really needs to reach a settlement with the government” which could extract many more billions from the company in civil and criminal proceedings. No one should be ASKED to pay a fair share

While the premise of the above is utterly true, the rhetoric is wrong. You do not ASK the wealthy to pay a fair share. You legislate a fair code for all. I do not understand why the deficiencies of a hat in hand approach have not been perceived and corrected.
